What we collect
Through the contact form: your name, email address, phone number if provided, what the enquiry concerns, and the content of your message.
Automatically on visiting: our provider records technical data such as IP address, browser type, device and time in server logs. These are used for operation and security, not to track you as a visitor.
We do not use analytics tools, and we do not track or profile visitors.
Submitting the form does not create a client relationship
Submitting an enquiry through the contact form does not create a client relationship between you and Advokatfirmaet Støle AS. A client relationship or engagement arises only once it has been expressly accepted by the firm.
Before such acceptance, please do not send privileged, sensitive or extensive case information through the contact form. If such information needs to be exchanged, we will agree on a suitable and secure channel.
Sensitive and confidential information
Please do not send national identity numbers, health information, information about criminal matters or other sensitive or confidential information through the contact form. Contact us briefly first, so that we can agree on a secure way to exchange information.
Purposes and legal basis
Receiving and following up enquiries — legitimate interest in replying to those who contact us, and taking steps prior to entering into an engagement (GDPR art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).
Operation, troubleshooting and security of the website — legitimate interest in a secure and functioning website (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).
Complying with legal obligations — legal obligation (GDPR art. 6(1)(c)).
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone other than the providers necessary to run our website and email:
Webflow — hosting and operation of the website.
Microsoft 365 — the email system the enquiry is delivered to.
When you submit the form, the message is received by Webflow and forwarded to our email address at Microsoft 365, where it is handled as ordinary email.
Some of these providers process data outside the EEA. Such transfers take place on the basis of the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) or an equivalent valid transfer mechanism, and we have data processing agreements with the providers.
The website loads typefaces from Google Fonts. When the fonts are loaded, Google receives your IP address. No cookies are set in this connection.
Professional secrecy
Advokatfirmaet Støle AS is subject to the rules on lawyers' professional secrecy. Information received and processed as part of an established client engagement is handled confidentially and in accordance with applicable law and the firm's internal routines for information security and retention.
How long we keep your data
Enquiries that do not lead to a client engagement are deleted no later than 12 months after the last contact, unless further retention is necessary to document the communication, safeguard legal claims or comply with a legal obligation.
Information relating to established client engagements is processed and retained in accordance with the firm's applicable routines and statutory obligations.
Cookies
The website only uses cookies that are necessary for the site and the contact form to function. Such cookies do not require consent. You can manage or delete cookies in your browser settings.
We do not use cookies for analytics or marketing.
Automated decision-making
We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling based on the data we collect.
Your rights
You have the right to access the data we process about you, to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected, to have data deleted where we no longer have a basis for processing it, to request restriction of processing, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to receive your data in a machine-readable format.
Contact es@advokatstole.no if you wish to exercise your rights. We normally reply within 30 days.
If you believe we process personal data in breach of the regulations, you may lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet). Contact details are available at datatilsynet.no.

We have technical and organisational measures in place to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration and deletion, including access control and encrypted transfer of data to and from the website.
